Our mIssion to Pollinators

At Aventura Gardens, we are dedicated to supporting pollinators by providing plants that nurture and sustain them. Our commitment to conservation begins with the plants we grow and extends to ongoing education and advocacy for pollinator-friendly gardening.

Milkweed for Monarchs
The Monarch Butterfly is currently listed as Threatened, and its survival depends on access to Milkweed, the only host plant for monarch caterpillars. We proudly grow and offer locally adapted Milkweed in our nursery to provide an essential food source for these incredible butterflies. By planting Milkweed in your garden, you can help support their migration and reproduction.
Pollinator Plants Coming Soon
Right now, we are nurturing a selection of pollinator-friendly plants, which will be ready for purchase in March/April. These plants have been carefully chosen to attract and support bees, butterflies, hummingbirds, and other essential pollinators. Receive an email when product is ready for shipping or sales!

Pollinator Steward Certification (PSC)
To deepen our knowledge and commitment to pollinators, we are currently enrolled in the Pollinator Steward Certification (PSC) program offered by Pollinator.org. This program covers:
- Pollinator Ecology – Understanding the relationships between plants and pollinators.
- Pollinator Conservation Strategies – Learning best practices to support pollinators in home gardens and larger landscapes.
- Native Plant Selection – Identifying plants that provide the best food and habitat for local pollinators.
- Threats to Pollinators – Addressing issues like habitat loss, pesticides, and climate change.
- Community Engagement – Sharing knowledge and encouraging pollinator-friendly gardening in our community. As part of this program, we will complete one habitat creation action and one outreach or education action to further support pollinators and raise awareness.
